Russia: Exports of beer exceeded imports by US$10 million in 2005
As Russian customs statistics provided, foreign trade turnover of brewing production increased by 36.1% up to US$179.9 million in 2005, The Union if Russian Brewers communicated June 23.
According to same sources, exports of brewing production rose by 26.4% year-on-year in 2005 and amounted US$84.4 million.
As the last five years have proven, the exports of brewing production have grown faster that imports: in 2005, exports have raised by 46.1% year-on-year. Accordingly, shipments of brewing production to overseas exceeded imports by US$10 million and totalled US$95.0 million.
